Community Rehabilitation and Psychosocial Intervention Service

Community Recovery Essex is an abstinence-based structured day programme which clients attend for six days of the week over the course of nine weeks and it provides all the advantages of an intensive, residential rehabilitation programme in a community setting. The programme is designed to help clients embark on their recovery journey by evaluating and enabling them to develop their recovery capital; helping them develop improved relationships with family members and significant others; helping them become free from dependence on drugs or alcohol; increasing their self esteem and self efficacy; enabling them to change their attitudes and behaviours; improving their communication and coping skills; preparing them to make the best use of recovery support groups and/or 12-Step fellowships in their local communities, and establish new social norms, offering alternatives to social networks which promote continued alcohol/substance use.
