The HeadsUp programme, funded by the Big Lottery and the European Social Fund, offer 3 free strands of activity to people who are keen to find work after a period of unemployment. Being out of work can make you feel anxious, depressed and generally low, and this programme is particularly suited to helping to address these feelings. Activity includes Peer Support, Interactive Workshops and Developing Employability skills and networks. Along with one to one support that you receive from a Peer Support Worker, we invite you to attend three workshops each designed to explore, understand and boost your mental wellbeing and resilience. These workshops are a crucial part of the HeadsUp programme because as well as benefitting from practical help with things such as CV writing and applying for jobs, it’s also really important to work through how you feel about returning to work emotionally. Your self-confidence may need a boost and you might find that some of the exercises and discussions help you identify your personal strengths, and areas that might need a bit more focus. Led by extremely experienced trainers, the workshops are a chance for you to develop a personal plan that will support all the fantastic progress that you are making with your Peer Support Worker.
