Red Balloon - helping with anxiety in children & young people

For children who are unable to go to school, usually due to anxiety or mental health issues. We aim to return children to full time education by raising their self esteem, building their confidence, encouraging them to value themselves and take control of their lives through a programme of student led learning (negotiated curriculum) which is therapeutically grounded (developed with the Samaritans and Childline) and benefits the children’s well-being. For our on-line provision we have real teachers and counsellors in real-time in 1:1 and small group sessions. We also provide a Regional Mentor who works face-to-face with the child, the family and the school. We offer GCSEs in Maths, English and Science as well as PSHE, Circle Time, counseling, and weekly group meeting / activities. We can provide an increased curriculum leading to further GCSEs where appropriate. We also provide a bespoke programme for children with high needs.
